It takes a bit of work to get there (flying to SJD, then a 2.5-3hr shuttle) but it is so very worth it. You're in a unique biome, on a beautiful beach, and ferrying between the resort and mainland (La Paz) is quite easy. There is a full time staff on hand to help with the transfers. The condos are very nice, and it's easy to spend a ton of time at the pool and pool bar. For trips for fishing, whale sharks, etc, you are often going to a place you can see from the condo! (Pro tip: try asking the guides to pick you up at the dock and even drop you off on the beach:). Loved our time there, will definitely return. Check out the season you are thinking about: There are a few great times for fishing, whale sharks are Dec-Mar, there is a whale-watching season and a sea turtle season, etc.
