Incredible April Stay

We had such a fantastic stay in this beautiful apartment. I loved sitting on the balcony and enjoying the view, while our two kids enjoyed the pool. Very clean and modern. All the people are very nice - bus driver, boat driver everybody just fantastic. We plan to come back.

Outstanding Beach and Pool within Steps

Not only is the condo great and only steps from pool & beach but the restaurant is fantastic as well. The Malecon is a short boat ride (8 minutes) away. We did not have a bad meal all week and every meal was very affordable. Swimming with the seals was very entertaining and shouldn't be missed

Surpassed our Expectations

We cannot say enough good things about our time at this condo. From the moment we were met at the dock with our keys and welcome kit, we were impressed. We loved: the beach, the pool, the views from our condo, the condo's amenities and layout, the drinks at the poolside bar, use of the kayaks, the boat ride to the resort, the town, the purified drinking water system. . .In sum: we loved everything except having to leave. Cannot wait to return.

Quiet Retreat

We stayed here for two weeks and enjoyed the property very much. The little ferry boat was always on time and only takes 10 mins. to the mainland. It is a nice place to stay because it is very quiet and away from the bustle but easy access to all the restaurants and activity. The restaurant on the property is very good as well. We had a beautiful view of the water and grounds and a very large 2 bedroom unit. The property managers are very helpful and always there to attend to any needs you may have. It is also very convenient to have the local phone which is provided in the rental. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. I would recommend staying here and if we ever return to La Paz we would stay here again.

Great Family Vacation

Stayed at Paraiso Del Mar from December 22nd to January 4th with my family. The condo complex is on a private "island" which requires a quick boat ride to get there. First off, let me tell you that the condo we stayed in, D301, was fantastic! It was huge and everyone in the family got their own room, bathroom and balcony! The kitchen was very functional and was fully stocked with pots, pans, everything. And, if you prefer to BBQ, there is one available for your use. Our condo overlooked the pool area including Survivor Bar, with a view of the Sea of Cortez. Survivor Bar has amazing food and we ate there often, just make sure that if you want fresh fish for dinner, let the staff know in the afternoon! La Paz is truly a hidden treasure. We did not hesitate once venturing into town as we felt completely safe and welcomed by the locals! Food in town is plentiful and reasonable priced and staff are very attentive, even if you don't speak Spanish but try a few words, they really appreciated it! There are lots of great places to visit, so renting a car was ideal for us. We visited Todos Santos, which is a little town where there are lots of places to buy souvenirs, local art and many little restaurants. And, not too far from town, is a hidden gem of a beach called Palm Beach, just off of the highway which was fantastic...caves and waves! Working with Chelle, the condo owner was truly an easy task. She was very helpful by providing a list of great local restaurants and places to visit. And, once you arrive, you are met by Penny, who lets you know the boat schedule, where to park for free, local activities and is generally there to help you out if you require anything! So, if you are looking for a relaxing family vacation, far away from those busy all-inclusive resorts, I would definitely recommend renting from Chelle and going to La Paz!

An Absolute Dream Vacation

This was our second time staying here, and we absolutely love it! The condos are spacious and extremely comfortable! We loved this one as it is right on the corner and your view is the ocean. The Survivor Bar restaurant has delicious food. The staff are all extremely friendly and helpful! We had so many adventures from swimming with whale sharks, releasing day old turtles to the ocean, surfing, paddle boarding, swimming with sea lions, daily tennis games, pool side yoga classes and so much more! There is so much to do here! This is the ideal vacation spot for people who enjoy a combination of adventure and relaxation. It is our home away from home. We will be back next year!

Highly Recommended Resort

My wife and I selected this Penthouse property along with another 3 bedroom condominium in the E building for our 50th anniversary family reunion for our three married children and our six granddaughters ranging in age from 3 to 21. Everyone loved the accommodations. While the Penthouse could not sleep all 14 of us, it worked great for our family gatherings. The fabulous on-site Survivor Bar (extraordinary restaurant) delivered food to the Penthouse for selected dinners. (It's not open every day.) Chelle and Penny make great hosts and are most hospitable and accommodating! The property is very private and quiet but a short 10 minute free ferry boat ride from this interesting city of LaPaz. The whale shark snorkeling is a must --even for those who choose to just watch from the boat. This was our second visit to this property; we certainly hope to return!

Enjoyable Vacation

From beginning to end this was one of the most enjoyable vacations my family and I have had. The booking process was smooth and Chelle always responded our questions within one day. The final details about arrival and recommendations about our stay were kindly and timely provided by Penny, who welcomed us at Marina Cortez in La Paz. The condo was even better than we expected. The pictures do not do it justice. It is very spacious and comfortable. Great location just steps away from the beach! All the personnel at Paraiso Del Mar were very friendly and responsive to our requests. Having to take the water taxi and the shuttle to travel to and from the city takes some getting used to but it is well worth it. The complex is absolutely beautiful. Other people staying there were very respectful and we did not have any issues with loud neighbors or anything of the sort. The pool is very nice, and you can rent out a kayak or a paddle board for free to take out into the ocean which is very calm, no crazy loud rolling waves. If you prefer to stay in, there won't be any fights over the remote because there is a TV in every room and one in the living room. The kitchen was fully equipped, though we mostly ate out at the multiple restaurants that are walking distance from Marina Cortez. The dock at Marina Cortez is right where the malecon starts, which is perfect to walk around. The experience was overall really great and we would as a family highly recommend this to anyone.

Fantastic Spacious Condo with Beautiful Views

This condo is perfect for those who want a beautiful, peaceful vacation away from crowded, noisy resorts while still keeping resort-like amenities and décor. The space and layout of the condo is superb, with lots of room for everyone and views (and sounds) of the Sea of Cortez from every room. While we appreciated the modern appliances (including a dishwasher!), we loved the Survivor Bar beside the pool even more. We had intended to cook every day, but once we got a taste of the food served up by the fantastic bar staff, we were hooked and ate there every night it was open. The pools on the grounds are large, clear, and clean, and the grounds are wonderfully maintained. The condo and property look and feel like a resort without all the hustle and bustle. Best of all, the beach is right there! Miles of secluded, beautiful, sandy beach with millions of shells to collect. We loved that the condo included almost everything we could need so we didn’t have to pack it. There are beach towels, hair dryers, dishes, coffee, sugar, and more, so you don’t need to buy it and tote it back. We also loved relaxing at night watching the American satellite TV because it was one of those nice touches that make you feel a little more at home. Five-gallon water jugs are available for a nominal fee and trucked in regularly. The office staff are super helpful. Most of all, we appreciated the prepaid, local cell phone and the information Chelle and Penny gave us to prepare us for what to expect and what to do (including all the best restaurants!). All in all, this is a spacious, comfortable condo with fantastic views, grounds, and staff and much quieter than staying in the city. We highly recommend it!

Golf Trip for 4

The condo was great. Lots of room for 4. The outside facilities were fantastic! The pool and hot tub could have been a little warmer, but after a round of golf both were great. The Survivor Bar met all your needs for food and drinks. Couldn't ask for better treatment from the staff. The golf course is well laid out to challenge any golfer, but is fun to play. The greens are in excellent shape! Looking forward to playing the course again. Marco and his assistant Maria treated us with the utmost respect and professionalism! Chewy, the chef at the restaurant and bar, provides tasty food and great drinks! We are looking forward to visiting again.

Excellent Condo in Quiet Resort

We visited La Paz over Spring Break to do some fishing and relaxing. We stayed in Unit E304 , a 3 bedroom, 4 bath condo with excellent pool and water views. Paraiso Del Mar is a very nice resort comprised of 5 different buildings, buildings A-E, each housing privately owned condos. The resort sits alone on a peninsula known as the El Mogote and requires a water taxi to transport you to and from the main strip of La Paz, known as the Malecon. The water taxi runs back and forth all day based on a published schedule and you can catch one every 30 minutes which we found to be very convenient and an excellent way to meet some of the friendly Ex-Pats staying/living there who were all willing to share information about local restaurants and things to do.

The Condo was Perfect

The Condo was PERFECT! once we arrived we called Penny our contact and met her at Marina Cortez, where she gave us a list of the times the water taxi runs at. We arrived to the Condo at the Mogote and it was great, we loved it. There were 6 people in our group and each had a big room each with bathroom and shower, not to mention huge beds. The condos are great, clean and peaceful! and the staff was always on time and attentive to our needs!! We will definitely be coming back to La Paz and we will be staying here again!! I do recommend you buy food first since there is no huge market stores on the Mogote. Overall the pool is clean, the Jacuzzi is warm and the condos are perfect and clean!! You will not regret staying here!

Can't say enough about the condo lots of room for four adults. Beaches you could walk for miles. Shuttle bus drivers the boat captains all were so helpful. Golf course was not busy was like having our own private golf course. Great golf course very helpful great food. We can not wait to go back.

Extraordinarias!!

Estas vacaciones fueron sin duda extraordinarias!! El penthouse es mucho más que en las fotos!! Es un lugar súper acogedor, las instalaciones increíbles!! La vista la mejor que pudimos haber imaginado!! Increíbles acabados! Increíbles baños cocina!! El asador lo disfrutamos al máximo en la terraza viendo bellos atardeceres!! Los nos estuvieron felices en el jacuzzi... No tengo palabras para expresar la tranquilidad y La Paz que uno experimenta en Paraíso del Mar.. Sin duda un lugar increíble!! Pudimos disfrutar en el campo de golf el día de la Pascua donde los más pequeños tuviera la experiencia de recoger sus huevos de pascua!! La playa es Maravillosa!! Si te levantas temprano y tomas una caminata podrás encontrar cantidad de caracoles hermosos!! Gracias por tan grande experiencia!!!

Beautiful Area and Great Condo

Two couples shared a condo for a week. Enough space for privacy and a nice kitchen for preparing meals in case we choose not to eat at the Survivor Bar, but the food was so good there we made that our usual choice for dinner. What a great place to relax and enjoy the peaceful ocean setting! We loved the pool and were fortunate that it wasn't terribly busy, so we could get chairs any time. Transportation was prompt and courteous. The water taxi between La Paz and the resort is always on time. We'd been at Cabo San Lucas the previous week. The contrast between that location, which is very busy and super developed and the condo at La Paz was striking. We'd go back to La Paz over Cabo anytime! Property Managers Penny and Jon were great and responsive to our questions and needs.

Simple, Easy, Very Out of the Way

It takes a bit of work to get there (flying to SJD, then a 2.5-3hr shuttle) but it is so very worth it. You're in a unique biome, on a beautiful beach, and ferrying between the resort and mainland (La Paz) is quite easy. There is a full time staff on hand to help with the transfers. The condos are very nice, and it's easy to spend a ton of time at the pool and pool bar. For trips for fishing, whale sharks, etc, you are often going to a place you can see from the condo! (Pro tip: try asking the guides to pick you up at the dock and even drop you off on the beach:). Loved our time there, will definitely return. Check out the season you are thinking about: There are a few great times for fishing, whale sharks are Dec-Mar, there is a whale-watching season and a sea turtle season, etc.

This Place is not to me Missed

My husband and I stayed for a month in the ground unit (A104). The condo exceeded all our expectations. It was gorgeous! The beach is right there, with dolphins and whales giving a show (almost every day) that we could see from our terrace. Chelle was great to deal with and made the booking process easy. Penny and Jon promptly took care of anything we needed and were a pleasure to deal with.

Love Love La Paz

We spent a week in an area without electricity! Arriving at Paraiso Del Mar was beyond our wildest expectations. The unit was immaculate! And allowed for our large family to stretch out without tripping over each other. The accommodations were first class. The bedrooms and bathrooms were like being at an expensive hotel. Great kitchen with spices, oil and sugar. The TV in the living room was exceptional! We watched a lot of SHARK WEEK!

This Condo is Unbelievable

Five of us decided at the last minute (a month early) to fly to La Paz for a week of relaxation and tequila. Where to stay? Check TripAdvisor for hotels and condos. Find pictures that look great but have seen others that weren't as advertised. Enter Chelle Miller, the owner who assured me that it was "as shown". That is 3 bedrooms/4 bathrooms/4 patios/large stocked kitchen (no food but all the condiments, spices and utensils you could ask for). We struck a deal and made ready to fly. When we arrived we were met at the dock by a charming representative who gave us the keys, a cell phone for local use and instructions and phone numbers in case of any unexpected need, This was followed by a short boat ride across the bay and a shuttle to our door. When we walked in we all said "Wow" several times.

Exceeded My Expectations

What a beautiful vacation rental. We enjoyed everything about Paraiso del Mar, from the ease of booking with Chelle, to the luxurious condo, to the amazing beach, ocean view, lovely pool. All the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Alissia was very helpful in arranging fishing excursions, the chef cooked us delcious meals with the fish we caught! La paz has many very good restaurants and shopping. We are definitely planning to vacation here again!

Affordable Yet Luxurious Trip

The condo was much larger than expected.. We had rented all 3 bedrooms with 3 couples and had plenty of room. We were able to cook a lot In the condo and have sunset dinners on the enormous deck... The condo really has everything you need... In the kitchen, bug spray if you need it, Beach towels, etc. You cannot beat the location and the amenities for the price!

Wonderful Penthouse and Wonderful Stay

This was truly an exceptional place: a beautiful penthouse overlooking the pool and the sea, with a poolside restaurant that served outstanding food at very reasonable prices. The penthouse itself was artfully decorated, spacious and luxurious, with great bedding, bathrooms, outdoor decks, etc. Getting around the resort and the peninsula was a breeze, thanks to the excellent transportation crew. And the water taxi to La Paz was really easy and always enjoyable. Super-helpful property managers and rental representative, too -- they made sure everything worked out great for us. And it did. Could not recommend this place more highly.
